Maine issues another recall of cannabis products
December 3, 2025
The Maine Office of Cannabis Policy has issued a health and safety recall of cannabis flower and pre-roll products sold at 22 storefronts between Oct. 15 and Tuesday.
The recall, issued Wednesday, includes flower and pre-rolls under the strain names “Frosted Enigma” and “Gold Dust,” as well as pre-rolls under the strain names “Blackberry Pie,” “Sour Cookies,” and “Street Tartz.”
Recalled product information
Those products were produced by NorCO Outdoor Cannabis, which also produced cannabis vape cartridges that were the subject of a recall in October. That recall was later expanded to more products and stores in November, and ultimately included four strains sold across 26 adult-use retailers.
Wednesday’s recall was the result of further testing “as part of an ongoing investigation pursuant to the last NorCO product recall,” the Office of Cannabis Policy said in a press release.
The products in Wednesday’s recall tested for unsafe levels of yeast, mold, microbials and arsenic, the agency said. They were sold at dispensaries in 17 communities, including multiple locations in Auburn, Bangor, Lewiston and Portland.
Stores subject to recall
Consumers of the products are advised to return them to the store where they were purchased or dispose of them. Any users experiencing symptoms or adverse reactions to the products should contact a health care provider, the office said.
