Man arrested after cannabis recovered in raid

Police who carried out a drugs warrant at a property in Wolverhampton have recovered 30 cannabis plants, leading to a man’s arrest.

Officers seized the crop on Monday morning at an address on Goldthorn Road.

The arrested man was held on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis, illegally abstracting electricity, and being in possession of a banned breed of dog.

West Midlands Police said he remained in custody.
