As the drought worsens across North Carolina and no relief in sight, some cities and counties are starting to impose mandatory water restrictions.
Here’s a list of restrictions in North Carolina:
Raleigh and surrounding communities
Mandatory Stage 1 restrictions April 20
- Alternating watering days
- Restaurants serve water by request only
- Hotels ask guests to reuse towels, bedding

- Limit outdoor watering
- Avoid washing outdoor surfaces like driveways
