Hershey Gardens is hosting their event series “Marvelous Mondays,” through August 4th. Kids will learn about Pennsylvania’s native plants, animals and more.
DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. — Mondays can be tough but for kids in Hershey, they can be marvelous!
Marvelous Mondays are back at Hershey Gardens, inviting kids and families to take part in crafts, explore Pennsylvania native animals and plants, explore the outdoors, gardening and more.
The five-week series dives into different themes related to nature and our environment.
“Marvelous Mondays are a great opportunity to learn about what’s in your backyard and in your community,” said Rebecca Lawrence, manager of education and public programs at Hershey Gardens.
The goal of this education is meant to, “instill curiosity and a love of learning about the ecosystem and the environment,” said Lawrence.
Marvelous Mondays are an annual tradition at Hershey Gardens, often welcoming several kids each year.
“It’s so wonderful to see so many families return. And to see kids come back again and again to learn something new and see the gardens in a different way, that’s what is so fantastic,” said Lawrence.
The event series is every Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. through August 4th. It’s included in admission and free for members.
