Meta AI Vibes feed

Meta announced yesterday that it’s bringing Vibes, the new feed of AI-generated videos within its Meta AI app to EU users. Vibes first launched in preview in the US late September, just a couple of days before OpenAI released its Sora iPhone app in the country.

With Vibes, the Meta AI app lets users create short AI-generated videos, remix content made by other users, and share videos to the Vibes feed or Instagram and Facebook Stories and Reels. Meta said yesterday that media generation in the Meta AI app has “jumped more than tenfold” since Vibes launched in the US, so it looks like there’s definitely an audience for AI slop.

“Putting media generation at the heart of the experience, you can create your own videos using imaginative prompts, or remix what’s already been shared,” Meta said yesterday. “There are options to add new visuals, layer in music, or adjust styles to match your individual taste. This is an inherently social and collaborative creation experience, where you’re encouraged to remix, co-create, and build stories together with friends.”

Besides this new Vibes feed, the Meta AI app continues to provide access to the company’s AI assistant, and it’s also the hub for managing Meta Ray-Ban AI glasses. Meta AI is also still integrated into Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
