Meta Platforms defended its record on tackling online scams as UK regulator Ofcom delayed the rollout of Online Safety Act duties designed to combat fraudulent advertising. A senior Meta executive, Philip Milton said the company “is not waiting any further” despite the watchdog postponing decisions on those duties to mid-2026. Speaking at a London panel, Milton rejected claims the firm profits from scam ads, while an executive for digital bank Revolut urged tech companies to “come to the table” to curb online fraud.
