Meta has withdrawn from a court appeal in the Netherlands over providing an algorithm-free timeline for Facebook and Instagram users. The company said at the last minute before a hearing planned for 26 January that it was largely abandoning its appeal, RTL Z reported. The digital rights group Bits of Freedom had brought the case over compliance with the EU’s Digital Services Act and announced Meta’s withdrawal.
