September 25, 2025

Meta announced the integration of its AI video creation platform, Vibes, into the Meta AI app, enabling users to create, discover, and share short video content. Presented in a feed format, users can not only browse AI-generated videos created by other creators and communities but also utilize new AI visual tools to bring their ideas to life or re-create existing videos.

Meta officially launched its AI video creation platform Vibes, marking the social media giant’s latest move in the AI-generated content field.

On September 25, Meta announced the integration of the AI video creation platform Vibes into the Meta AI app, allowing users to create, discover, and share short video content.

imageMeta stated that the feature is presented in a feed format, where users can not only browse AI videos created by other creators and communities but also use new AI visual tools to bring their ideas to life or remix existing videos.

This update is described by Meta as the ‘latest advancement’ in its AI video efforts and foreshadows broader plans for the future. The company stated that the launch of Vibes is just the beginning, aiming to gather user feedback and continuously iterate on its AI video tools to lay the groundwork for future competition in this space.

Meta CEO Zuckerberg stated on his social media:

Our new models are still under development at Meta Superintelligence Lab, so Vibes is only an initial showcase of some of the new directions. Very excited to collaborate with friends from Midjourney and Black Forest Labs.

Empower creation, from inspiration to sharing

Vibes was designed with the aim of lowering the barrier for users to conduct creative experiments and providing inspiration for creation.

According to Meta, as users browse the Vibes feed, they will encounter AI-generated videos from various creators and communities. Over time, the recommendations in this feed will become increasingly personalized.

When users discover content of interest, they can choose to directly engage in secondary creation.

The creative process is highly flexible: users can either input text prompts to generate entirely new videos from scratch or remix existing videos from the feed. The core creative tools include adding new visual elements, overlaying music, and adjusting the overall style to better align with personal preferences.

Upon completing the creation, the integration of sharing channels across the entire Meta ecosystem becomes crucial.

Videos can be directly published in the Vibes feed, sent to friends via private messages, or cross-posted to Instagram and Facebook with a single click, significantly enhancing the potential exposure and viral spread of AI-generated content.

More importantly, this integration is bidirectional. If a user encounters a video generated by Meta AI on Instagram, they can directly click and be redirected to the Meta AI app for further creation.

Additionally, this feature is currently free. In a post, Zuckerberg introduced it as follows:

Within the Meta AI app, explore captivating videos created by artists and creators using AI, and freely access top-tier models and music to generate and recreate your own works with a single click.

Meta AI iterates on its product by gathering feedback to strategically position itself for the future.

Meta emphasized that the currently launched Vibes is only an “early preview” version, and the company will actively collect user feedback to continuously improve and advance the development of its AI video tools.

In addition, Meta revealed that it is collaborating with a group of talented visual artists and creators to jointly develop ‘more powerful creative tools and models.’ These more advanced features are expected to be rolled out to users in the future.

Beyond serving as a platform for the creation and distribution of AI videos, the Meta AI application itself will remain the central hub for managing AI glasses, capturing life moments, and utilizing AI assistants to obtain information and ideas.

This series of updates indicates that Meta is gradually pushing its AI capabilities from being back-end support tools to front-end content creation areas where users can directly perceive and engage.
