Meta Platforms (META) has released a standalone artificial intelligence app, Meta AI, that will compete with other chatbot apps such as Google’s (GOOG)(GOOGL) Gemini, Microsoft-backed (MSFT) OpenAI’s ChatGPT, DeepSeek (DEEPSEEK) and xAI’s Grok.
