March 27, 2025
Dan Neary, Meta’s Vice President of Asia Pacific, has decided to exit the company after a 12-year stint. He managed Meta’s business across the Asia-Pacific region.
Neary confirmed the news through a LinkedIn post. He stated that he will be around for a few more months to get a successor in place and ensure a smooth transition.
“After an incredible 12-year run at Meta, it’s time for me to say thank you and goodbye. I’ll be around for a few more months to get a successor in place and ensure a smooth transition as I hand over the reins. Working at such a remarkable company has been an absolute privilege. I’m also deeply grateful to have had the opportunity to work alongside and learn from some of the most talented people in tech, both colleagues and partners. I’ve always believed that growth comes from surrounding yourself with intelligent people and embracing new challenges, and I’ve been fortunate to have experienced a lot of both at Meta,” his post read.
“It has been the ride of a lifetime on the Meta APAC rocket ship, and I’m proud of the team we built and what we were able to accomplish. It’s been such an honour to help our clients and partners grow using Meta’s products, which, in turn, is driving economies and improving people’s lives. As for what’s next, after I hand over to my successor and spend some time with family, I’ll explore what the next phase of my life adventure looks like. Thank you to everyone for being part of my journey at Meta,” he further stated.
Neary has worked with Skype, eBay, among others, in the past.
He is also involved in the entrepreneurial community and supports tech startups in his spare time. He is a co-founder of Travelmob, which HomeAway purchased, a limited partner in two venture capital funds, and an early-stage investor in more than 15 businesses (including two acquisitions and one initial public offering).
Neary graduated from DePaul University in the United States with a bachelor’s degree and an MBA.
