Meta’s Sanction Request Against Domain Scammer Likely Denied

Meta Platforms Inc. was tentatively denied sanctions of a $1,000 a day against a Chinese domain name registrar, with a San Francisco federal judge on Friday encouraging the parties to have settlement talks with a mediator.
Judge Susan Illston of the US District Court for the Northern District of California said tenatively that she won’t grant Meta’s request but would allow the company to refile it at a later date.
