Calling all young environmentalists! Planet Patrol is hosting the second annual Miami Children’s Environmental Congress on April 10-11.
The event, to be held at Aguamarina Elementary School, offer the theme of “Chemicals, Pesticides, and Plastics: Their Impact on Plants, Animals, and Humans,” which will explore how everyday substances affect our environment.
Hosted by Planet Patrol, a non-profit dedicated to raising environmental awareness, the event gives students the opportunity to:
– Engage with environmental experts to learn about sustainability and Everglades preservation.
– Participate in art workshops led by local artists, using creativity to inspire environmental action.
– A hands-on experience designed to educate and empower the next generation of eco-leaders!
Organizers hope to give students a platform for advocacy, allowing them to express their concern about environmental challenges in South Florida. Students are encouraged to engage in discussion and debate with other attendees.
