14 recurring guest stars have joined “Carrie,” Mike Flanagan‘s series adaptation of Stephen King‘s 1974 novel for Prime Video.
Flanagan will reunite with frequent collaborators Kate Siegel, Michael Trucco, Katee Sackhoff, Rahul Kohli, Crystal Balint, and Danielle Klaudt on the project.
New additions to his circle include Heather Graham (Boogie Nights), Tim Bagley (“Grace and Frankie”), Tahmoh Penikett (“Battlestar Galactica”), Mapuana Makia (“Doogie Kamealoha M.D.”), Naika Toussaint (“Van Helsing”), Delainey Hayles (“Interview with the Vampire”), Cassandra Naud (Influencer), and newcomer Rowan Danielle.
Summer H. Howell stars as Carrie White alongside previously announced cast members Samantha Sloyan, Siena Agudong, Alison Thornton, Thalia Dudek, Josie Totah, Arthur Conti, Joel Oulette, Matthew Lillard, and Amber Midthunder.
Described as “a bold and timely reimagining” of King’s classic story, the eight-episode series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios.
Misfit high-schooler Carrie White has spent her life in seclusion with her domineering mother. After her father’s sudden and untimely death, Carrie finds herself contending with the alien landscape of public high school, a bullying scandal that shatters her community, and the emergence of mysterious telekinetic powers.
Flanagan serves as writer and showrunner in addition to directing select episodes. This marks his fourth King adaptation, following Gerald’s Game, Doctor Sleep, and The Life of Chuck.
