More Mass. cannabis shops gave up licenses in the past year than in the previous seven

In fiscal year 2025, 13 Massachusetts retail licenses were surrendered, revoked or not renewed, according to the Cannabis Control Commission. In the seven years prior to July 2024, just nine total retail licenses were surrendered.
