PORTLAND, Conn. (WFSB) – Psychedelic mushroom gummies and cannabis products were seized from a smoke shop in Portland.

Officers from the Portland Police Department and Middletown Police Street Crime Unit executed a search and seizure warrant at King Smokers on Main Street today.

Police were investigating the illegal sales of cannabis and psychedelic mushroom products after numerous complaints from concerned citizens.

Portland police say an “abundant” amount of cannabis and suspected mushroom gummies were seized from the display cases in the store.

King Smokers is not a licensed cannabis dispensary or retailer.
