A cannabis dispensary in Essex County caught fire over the weekend, injuring two firefighters and causing significant damage to the building.

The three-alarm fire was reported around 3 a.m. Saturday inside Flowerbomb Dispensary in the 1100 block of Clinton Avenue in Irvington.

The fire originated on the second floor, above the dispensary, the owners said in a social media post.

“Flowerbomb Dispensary suffered significant damage due to a fire that originated in the apartment above our business,” the owners said.

The owners said Monday they were “assessing the situation” and are “committed to returning in the future.”

ABC-7 reported two firefighters suffered minor injuries and were treated at a local hospital and released. No other injuries were reported.

Flowerbomb Dispensary operates under a license issued by the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission, according to public records.

The business is authorized to sell recreational cannabis products to adult customers under the state’s regulatory framework.
