Nationwide recall: 64K+ toys sold on Amazon pulled for deadly hazard, return ASAP
November 10, 2025
Thousands of plush alpaca toys sold on Amazon are being recalled for posing a choking risk.
Inkari is recalling approximately 64,000 plush alpaca toys after federal regulators determined the eyes can detach and create a choking hazard for young children.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall Nov. 6, 2025, noting the wool stuffed toys are marketed to children under age 3 and violate federal small parts regulations.
As of Nov. 10, no injuries related to the recall have been reported.
Five collections of the plush toys are included in the recall: naturals, baristas, rainbow, monsterfluffs, and limited edition.
The toys were sold in multiple colors and four sizes, from a 6-inch mini version to a 19-inch large version.
Each toy has a label reading “INKARI” attached to its underside.
The alpaca toys were sold at specialty stores across the country and online through Amazon.com, Etsy.com, and Inkari-alpaca.com between November 2020 and July 2025.
Prices ranged from $25 to $100.
The CPSC advises people to stop using the toys immediately and contact Inkari for a full refund.
The company requires customers to cut the toy’s fur and email a photo to support@inkari-alpaca.com to process the refund.
