Lusaka’s Forest 27 is facing severe pressure from construction, illegal dumping and ongoing deforestation, putting one of Zambia’s most important woodlands at risk. Tree Club Zambia leads guided walks to highlight the forest’s endangered trees and its crucial role as Lusaka’s “lungs” and main water‑recharge zone. Activists document environmental damage, encourage community stewardship, and fund conservation through forest‑based products and cultural projects – all aimed at protecting this threatened ecosystem and securing Lusaka’s environmental future.
