IRVINE, CA (February 9, 2026) – Korean developer and publisher NC America unveiled today that former Amazon Game Studios Regional Franchise Leader Mervin Lee Kwai will join as Vice President of Operations in North America.

Lee Kwai, a 23-year veteran of the North American and European game industry, will help lead the company’s AION 2 global launch and steer the current line-up of live service legacy titles AION, Blade & Soul, and Lineage II. His MMO publishing expertise strengthens NC America’s prospects as it heads into a busy calendar year with launches of AION 2, Cinder City, Limit Zero Breakers and Time Takers.

Lee Kwai’s leadership roles at Amazon Games on Lost Ark and Throne and Liberty (an NC-developed title) are extensive. His responsibilities comprised directing all third-party MMO publishing at Amazon Games, including global, cross-functional support for two live MMO franchises, P&L, and simultaneous multi-platform launches across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 platforms.

His career also includes roles at Sony Online Entertainment and Trion Worlds (including substantial time as Executive Producer on ArcheAge), where he developed broad expertise spanning early-generation MMORPGs through large-scale global releases across both publishing and live service operations.

Earlier in his career, Lee Kwai worked at Trion Worlds as Executive Producer on ArcheAge and Trove; at Sony Online Entertainment, as Project Manager Localization for Dragon’s Prophet, Wizardry Online, PlanetSide 2, and DC Universe Online, and at Sony Online Entertainment as Project Manager on Free Realms and Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures.
