‘Netflix’s Million Dollar Secret is about to become your new obsession’
March 24, 2025
Netflix is gearing up to drop a binge-worthy treat for all The Traitors aficionados out there, with Million Dollar Secret set to premiere its opening trio of episodes on March 26. This eight-part unrehearsed series is a masterclass in “wit, cunning and deception”.
Echoing the concept of The Traitors, a dozen unknowns move into an expansive lakeside manor dubbed The Stag. Each participant is handed a box, but only one contains a million dollars.
The lucky millionaire must conceal their newfound wealth or risk being booted from the game sans cash. A slew of challenges will dish out hints about who’s sitting on the fortune, and it’s up to them to safeguard their Million Dollar Secret at all costs.

At the helm of the show is Peter Serafinowicz, the British funnyman and actor celebrated for his roles in Parks and Recreation and South Park, not to mention lending his voice to grown-up cartoons like Bob’s Burgers and Rick and Morty.
The series will keep viewers glued to their screens as it unfolds over three gripping segments, with the first two featuring three episodes apiece. The climactic duo of episodes will be unveiled in a final chapter that’ll have everyone itching to find out who bags the million-dollar prize.
Among the contenders are Cara, a 29 year old In-N-Out grill master; Chris, a 34 year old business whiz; Corey, a 38 year old construction pro; Harry, a 59 year old shutterbug; Jaimi, a 42 year old mentor; and Kyle, a 27 year old builder.
Among the other competitors are 35 year old full-time mum Lauren, 64 year old retired escrow agent Lydia, 41 year old college lecturer Phillip, 41 year old police officer Samantha, 35 year old systems VP Se Young and 32 year old medical sales rep Sydnee.
In each episode, host Peter hands the millionaire a covert mission to accomplish which, if successful, will give them an edge in the game, making it easier for them to keep their wealth intact.
Meanwhile, the contestants engage in daily tasks aimed at winning clues to help identify the millionaire among them.
Over dinner each night, the players attempt to vote off the right person and whenever a millionaire is correctly ousted, their money passes on to a new player.
Netflix elaborated: “Strike too soon and you become the target, but miss your window and you lose any hope of cashing a cheque.”
And should the millionaire find themselves under too much scrutiny, they can offload the cash to buy themselves another day in the competition.
The fiercely competitive series throws some hefty challenges at the guests, with the tension between the players escalating as the pressure mounts.
