A new Superman trailer has been released as tickets for the DCU movie are now on sale.

Superman finally arrives in United States theaters next month from Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios. Written and directed by James Gunn, the film stars David Corenswet as the Man of Steel, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor.

What happens in the new Superman trailer?

The Superman trailer features tons of new footage that sees the titular superhero fighting Lex Luthor’s soldiers alongside Krypto. At one point, Superman unleashes his heat vision on a whole army of them, while another clip also shows Lois, Jimmy Olsen (Skyler Gisondo), and Perry White (Wendell Pierce) flying over Metropolis in some sort of spaceship.

Additionally, the trailer gives more insight into how Lex Luthor plans to ruin Superman’s life, as he threatens to kill Lois, Jonathan Kent (Pruitt Taylor Vince), and Martha Kent (Neva Howell).

“Superman, DC Studios’ first feature film to hit the big screen, is set to soar into theaters worldwide this summer from Warner Bros. Pictures,” the official synopsis reads. “In his signature style, James Gunn takes on the original superhero in the newly imagined DC universe with a singular blend of epic action, humor, and heart, delivering a Superman who’s driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humankind.”

The cast of the movie further includes Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, Christopher McDonald as Ron Troupe, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Terence Rosemore as Otis, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., and María Gabriela de Faría as Angela Spica/The Engineer.
