Nine Local Environmental Groups Unite For 9th Annual GreenGive June 3–4, 2025
May 31, 2025
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Two Days, One Goal: A Greener Anne Arundel County.
Nine of Anne Arundel County’s leading environmental nonprofits are coming together once again for GreenGive 2025, a two day online giving event taking place Tuesday, June 3 and Wednesday, June 4. This annual campaign connects residents and businesses with the work being done by nonprofits across the county to restore waterways, protect forests, and build healthier, more resilient communities.
From restoring creeks and building living shorelines to protecting forests, and educating the next generation of environmental stewards, each of the GreenGive partner organizations brings a unique and vital mission to the table. Together, these organizations are shaping a sustainable future for Anne Arundel County—one action at a time, fueled by your contributions.
“With federal and state funding uncertain, it has never been more critical to act locally to protect and restore our environment. If we don’t, who will?” said Suzanne Etgen, Executive Director, Watershed Stewards Academy. “Please join us on June 3-4 to ensure your local waterway, forest or park is protected.”
Nonprofit environmental organizations are a driving force behind local conservation and sustainability efforts. They fill critical gaps by mobilizing volunteers, leading education programs, restoring habitats, creating more resilient communities, and advocating for smarter environmental policies. These grassroots groups know their communities intimately and work tirelessly to create lasting change from the ground up. By supporting these organizations, donors are investing directly in cleaner water, stronger ecosystems, and more resilient neighborhoods right here in Anne Arundel County.
“The Spa Creek Conservancy is an all volunteer watershed organization with the mission of protecting and restoring tiny Spa Creek in downtown Annapolis” said Amy Clements, President of Spa Creek Conservancy. “We couldn’t accomplish any of our goals without the support of GreenGive partners who contribute expertise, helping hands and cheerleading when the creek is at its best and at its worst. Urban creeks like Spa Creek could all use great partnerships like GreenGive.”
GreenGive isn’t just about raising funds—it’s a way for all who care about environmental issues in Anne Arundel County to pitch in for a greener tomorrow. When you give during this two-day campaign, you’re directly supporting vital projects like tree plantings, oyster restoration, forest conservation, community education, and a host of other efforts that protect and enhance our local environment.
With a shared fundraising goal of nearly $200,000, this campaign invites all who are interested and able to donate and explore the nine partner organizations at www.greengive.org/donate. Contributions can be made anytime between May 20th and June 10th to be included in the GreenGive campaign.
