North Las Vegas police looking for potential witness after deadly crash

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — North Las Vegas police are asking for the public’s help as they investigate a fatal traffic collision that happened Thursday afternoon.
The North Las Vegas Police Department said the crash occurred on April 9, 2026, around 4:17 p.m. on Simmons Street, just north of Carey Avenue.
Detectives with the department’s Major Collision Investigation Unit are trying to identify and speak with the driver of a gray Tesla believed to have been in the area at the time of the crash.
Investigators say the driver may have witnessed what happened leading up to the collision—or what happened immediately afterward—and could have information that helps move the case forward.
Police emphasized the driver is not in trouble and is being sought only as a potential witness.
Anyone with information, including the driver of the gray Tesla, is asked to contact the North Las Vegas Police Department at 702-633-9111.
