REDDING, Calif. — A new film featuring local actors and shot in Redding and the surrounding area is now available for streaming on Amazon Prime.
“Miracle Mile,” a family-friendly road trip romantic comedy, showcases many local landmarks and is now accessible for immediate viewing or DVD purchase.
Mike Flanagan, a producer of the film presented by Mighty Men of Valor Studios, said, “It’s a movie with a message. It’s entertainment with some familiar faces and places.” Flanagan hopes the film will boost awareness of Redding and Shasta County nationally and internationally.
“It’s a good example of a character who has his mind set on reaching Redding because he’s in love, and he needs the help of his cranky grandfather and also a driver to get them here, who happens to be a wounded combat vet. So it’s a great testimony about perseverance and getting to where you need to go in life,” said Flanagan.
“I think it’s a great opportunity for us to show Redding and our area to the world through Amazon Prime. So if I learned anything, it’s really the importance of marketing and really tourism, because I like to think about Lord of the Rings and how that really put New Zealand on the map. And maybe if we can just get a portion of that kind of tourism coming to Redding, it’s really going to help us,” Flanagan continued.
