It’s time for Yahoo Finance’s market minute. Stocks are mostly higher. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq looking to recover from last week’s losses while the Dow hovers just below the flat line.

Nvidia shares are gaining after last week’s slump. Significant investments by the chipmaker in other AI companies like OpenAI and Alibaba had been spooking investors, fueling fears around circular financing and disappointing AI revenue.

Meanwhile, Intel’s rally has come to a halt. Shares are down around 2% after surging over 20% during the prior week’s trading. Nvidia’s $5 billion investment as well as reports that Intel is seeking more from Apple had sent shares jumping.

Deutsche Bank writing in a note today that these decisions from Intel quote reflects CEO Lip-Bu Tan’s aggressive pursuit of strengthening the company’s balance sheet at all costs.

And cannabis stocks are soaring after President Trump advocated for the health benefits of CBDs to seniors. Tilray gaining around 40%, Aurora Cannabis over 20%, and Canopy Growth around 15%.
