BROCKWAY — To encourage more recycling and support local communities on June 5, World Environment Day, O-I Glass is hosting a “Glass4Good” competition.

Glass collected at recycling sites throughout Jefferson County goes directly to O-I Glass in Brockway to use for making new bottles and jars, as they are 100 percent recyclable.

The public is encouraged to “post a selfie on Instagram” while recycling glass on World Environment Day to support Brockway Area School District. Remember to tag O-I, “@oi_glass” and include the hashtag “G4GJeffersonCo”.

The community with the most selfies from glass recyclers will receive an additional $500 donation for their Glass4Good charitable partner.
