‘On Call’ Starring Troian Bellisario Canceled by Prime Video After 1 Season, Producers Att

On Call has been canceled by Prime Video.

The police drama will not be renewed for a second season on the streaming service, Deadline has confirmed. However, producers are currently attempting to find a home for season two on Peacock and another unnamed network.

On Call tells the story of “a rookie and veteran officer duo as they go on patrol in Long Beach, California. Shot with a mixture of hand-held cameras, bodycam and dash-cam footage to create a cinema verité effect, the innovative series explores the morality of protecting and serving a community.”

Troian Bellisario and Brandon Larracuente star in the lead roles. The show also features Lori Loughlin, Eriq La Salle and Rich Ting. It is produced by Wolf Entertainment, Dick Wolf‘s production company.

The eight-episode first season of On Call aired this January, and was reportedly canceled due to Prime Video losing money on the show. The cancelation comes a few weeks after producers were in talks with the streaming service for a two-season renewal.
