Senate committees will question and advance a number of energy and environment nominees this week, with the Senate looking to make progress on confirmations before the Easter recess.

The Environment and Public Works Committee will vote on Brian Nesvik to lead the Fish and Wildlife Service and two EPA picks: Jessica Kramer to lead the water office and Sean Donahue for general counsel.

Nesvik and Kramer, the latter a former aide to EPW Chair Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), had relatively smooth confirmation hearings last month.

Democrats are taking issue with Donahue’s qualifications, suggesting they’re too thin for the job, but the Republican majority appears to be sticking with him.
