President Donald Trump will announce plans for a Bitcoin strategic reserve at the upcoming White House Crypto Summit scheduled for this Friday, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick told The Pavlovic Today on Wednesday. The move aims to position the US as a global leader in digital assets and blockchain innovation.
According to Lutnick, the President envisions a strategic Bitcoin reserve as a key component of America’s financial future.
“The President definitely thinks that there’s a Bitcoin strategic reserve,” Lutnick said, adding that he expected a plan for handling crypto assets to be revealed on Friday.
The first-ever White House crypto summit, scheduled for Friday and chaired by David Sacks and Bo Hines, follows Executive Order 14178 signed during Trump’s first week in office.
Trump outlined his position in a Truth Social post: “A U.S. Crypto Reserve will elevate this critical industry after years of corrupt attacks by the Biden Administration, which is why my Executive Order on Digital Assets directed the Presidential Working Group to move forward on a Crypto Strategic Reserve that includes XRP, SOL, and ADA. I will make sure the U.S. is the Crypto Capital of the World. We are MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
“A Bitcoin strategic reserve is something the President’s interested in. He spoke about it all during the campaign trail, and I think you’re going to see it executed on Friday,” Lutnick said. “So Bitcoin is one thing, and then the other currencies, the other crypto tokens, I think, will be treated differently—positively, but differently.”
The summit will focus on regulatory clarity, financial innovation, and economic opportunities in digital assets, according to White House officials who spoke with The Pavlovic Today.
