Puget Sound Energy Expands Community Solar Program
February 4, 2026
Puget Sound Energy has expanded its Community Solar program with four new installations in Auburn, Kent, and Renton.
The new installations will start generating electricity early this year, adding more than one megawatt of solar capacity. The renewable energy is enough to power about 200 typical households annually, PSE said in a press release.
In 2025, PSE added two new Community Solar arrays, including installations at the Bellingham and Puyallup service centers. PSE said it plans to continue expanding solar projects through 2026, with 10 community solar locations scheduled so far, excluding other projects yet to be announced.
PSE will offer more than 800 shares of these arrays to customers once available, enabling customers to participate in solar-energy generation through subscription, the release said.
