Launched in 2021, the Born was Cupra’s first purely electric vehicle. Now it has undergone a facelift. Along with the base model, the car also comes in Endurance and VZ versions. REV’s car tester Emmanuel Schäfter takes the sportiest version, the VZ, out for a drive in Madrid. He says that while the suspension is a little stiffer than in other cars in its segment — meaning that you’ll feel bumps a little more — the car is a blast to drive. He also likes the look of the interior, especially the steering wheel. Bucket seats come as standard, which adds to the brand’s sporty appeal. New features include remote parking and Vehicle-to-Load, which lets you use energy from the battery to charge anything from a laptop to a drone.
