Rahul Gandhi Meets German Environment Minister, Discusses Climate Change

Berlin: Lok Sabha Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Friday met German Environment Minister Carsten Schneider in Berlin to discuss the shared global challenge of climate change and the need for sustainable, people-centric solutions.

The Indian National Congress shared details of the meeting on its official X handle, stating that the discussion focused on addressing climate challenges and building a sustainable future through inclusive approaches.

Earlier, Rahul Gandhi addressed the Indian community at the Connecting Cultures event organised by the Indian Overseas Congress, reaffirming a shared commitment to truth and democratic values.

As part of his five-day visit to Germany, Gandhi also had lunch with former German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. On Tuesday, he visited the BMW World Museum in Munich, where he highlighted the importance of manufacturing and praised Indian engineering, particularly the TVS 450 cc motorcycle developed in partnership with BMW.

During his visit, Gandhi interacted with visitors and stressed that increasing domestic production is key to India’s economic success.
