Letters.

What will it mean if – as seems to be the case – China is dominating the global renewable energy sector, while the United States is betting most of its marbles on fossil fuels?

I suggest that on the U.S. side, it means large short-term quarterly profits and executive bonuses. On the Chinese side, it means long-term world domination.

Hopefully U.S. voters and investors will wake up and start thinking more about the welfare of future generations rather than short-term profits for energy businesses. We must elect political leaders and promote business executives who will also keep future generations in mind.
