WEST ST PAUL, Minn. — The Red Lake Nation opened its first cannabis dispensary in the Twin Cities on Friday. 

Native Care Cannabis Dispensery is located on South Robert Street in West St. Paul. The opening builds on The Red Lake Nation’s role as the first to launch recreational cannabis sales in Minnesota back in 2023.

Kari Taylor, CEO of Red Lake Nation Cannabis Corporation, said they’re excited to bring their product to more Minnesotans. 

“Red Lake Nation is a pretty remote area, and so we have a lot of traffic that comes from the Twin Cities area, and so the demand in this area, the population in this area is a lot greater, so it makes sense for the Red Lake Nation to bring their dispensaries where the people are,” Taylor said. 

Taylor said it took them about six months to be ready to open. 

“We’re really excited to be here and be bringing offerings. We’re also going to be doing a lot of education and helping people to understand cannabis and help break down any stigmas that surround cannabis,” Taylor said.
