Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday praised the Economic Survey, saying it paints a picture of a resilient Indian economy marked by strong macroeconomic fundamentals and sustained growth despite global uncertainties.
Presented in Parliament by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the Economic Survey 2025-26 also stresses the government’s focus on inclusive development, with special emphasis on farmers, MSMEs, job creation for youth, and social welfare measures.
In a tweet, PM Modi noted that the survey highlights the growing contribution of innovation, entrepreneurship, and infrastructure to nation-building.
“The economic survey tabled today presents a comprehensive picture of India’s Reform Express, reflecting steady progress in a challenging global environment. It highlights strong macroeconomic fundamentals, sustained growth momentum and the expanding role of innovation, entrepreneurship and infrastructure in nation-building,” he said.
This is a developing story. It will be updated.
