Solar Energy Insurance Services, a managing general agent unit of kWh Analytics, has expanded its property capacity to $100 million per renewable energy project location, kWh said Thursday.

San Francisco-based kWh launched the facility in 2023 with $75 million in policy limits and expanded available capacity to $75 million per project location in 2024.

The capacity increase follows the completion of a renewal agreement with Aspen Specialty, which has backed the facility since its inception, kWh said.

Solar Energy Insurance can underwrite construction and operational risks for solar power facilities, battery storage systems and other renewable energy risks, it said.
