Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 19 clocks highest viewership with 8.2 mn views; Ahaan Panday’s Sai

The OTT space experienced a significant surge in viewership last week. The blockbuster Saiyaara had its digital release on Netflix India, and Aryan Khan’s directorial debut Ba***ds Of Bollywood started streaming on OTT. With this, Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 19 and Ashneer Grover-hosted Rise and Fall also managed to establish its strong presence. As per the latest viewership data released by Ormax Media, Ashneer Grover’s Rise and Fall has seen a 1.5x growth in its viewership from last week, while Bigg Boss 19 saw a spike of 0.4x. Ba***ds Of Bollywood and Saiyaara have also garnered impressive viewership last week.

Amongst the data from the original fiction series, Aryan Khan directed Ba***ds Of Bollywood received a viewership of 4.6 million. Kajol’s Trial Season 2 got 2.5 million views, while Tamannaah Bhatia and Diana Penty’s Do You Wanna Partner’s viewership was 2 million. Wednesday Season 2 took the fourth spot with a viewership of 1.5 million, while Ahsaas Channa’s Half CA Season 2 made it to the top 5 with a viewership of 1.2 million.

As for the non-fiction shows on OTT, Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 19 has taken the lead with a viewership of 8.2 million. Ashneer Grover hosted Rise and Fall, which also seems to have piqued the interest of the viewers; the show, which had a viewership of 4.2 million in its first week, garnered 5.8 million views last week. Though Amitabh Bachchan’s KBC 17 saw a drop in its viewership from 2.8 to 2.4 million, it managed to hold its third spot. The Great Indian Kapil Show also saw a drop in its views from 1.7 to 1.5 million. The show took the fourth spot. The newest entrant on the list is Nagarjuna’s Bigg Boss Telugu Season 9, which got a viewership of 1.3 million, and the show overtook Munawar Faruqui’s Pati, Patni, Aur Panga.

According to the data released for films that made their digital debut, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s Saiyaara rules the chart. The film, which was released on Netflix India, got a viewership of 6 million. Rajinikanth’s Coolie got a viewership of 4.9 million, while Mahavatar Narsimha clocked in 3.3 million views. Manoj Bajpayee’s Inspector Zende received 2.1 million views, while Sinners received a viewership of 1.2 million.

Aryan Khan’s Ba***ds Of Bollywood released on Netflix India on 18th September, while Saiyaara had its digital release on 12th September.
