Second fire in a month at Gorham cannabis facility draws multiple fire departments

GORHAM, Maine (WGME) — The Gorham Fire Department says a cannabis grow facility caught fire on Saturday.

At around 11:40 a.m., black smoke was reportedly spotted coming from the facility on 7 County Road in Gorham.

Authorities say once they made sure no one was inside, they quickly put out the fire and stopped the building from being further damaged.

The Gorham Fire Department says no one was hurt.

Windham Professional Firefighters Local 4095, Standish Fire-EMS, Buxton Fire and Rescue, the Scarborough Fire Department, the Westbrook Fire Department, and Limington Fire and EMS all reportedly helped with the fire.

Authorities say this was the second fire on 7 County Road in a month.

It is reportedly under investigation.
