Sig.Network Unlocks Native Interoperability Between Polkadot, Ethereum, Solana, and Bitcoi

Hydration leads first integrations as Sig.Network unlocks seamless access to external ecosystems

[Buenos Aires, Argentina – November 16, 2025] — At Polkadot’s flagship sub0 Symbiosis conference, Sig.Network unveiled a breakthrough integration that extends Polkadot’s native interoperability to non-parachain blockchains such as Ethereum, Solana, and Bitcoin, making them as accessible to Polkadot developers as rollups.

Polkadot’s strength has always been its composability, liquidity from Hydration flows into Moonbeam DeFi, assets from Asset Hub power Parallel’s lending protocols, and computation from Phala drives cross-chain infrastructure like SubBridge. Until now, this kind of seamless interaction was limited to rollups (parachains). External bridges could move tokens, but not enable true multi-chain functionality.

Sig.Network changes that. Through its distributed signing layer and message translation system, Sig.Network allows Polkadot accounts and contracts to interact directly with applications on external chains, preserving the caller’s identity and removing the need for wrapped assets or intermediaries. This means Polkadot users and dApps can deposit, trade, lend, and interact natively with ecosystems such as Ethereum, Solana, and Bitcoin as if they were part of Polkadot itself.

“Our goal is to make every blockchain feel like it’s part of one unified network,” said David Millar-Durrant, CEO of Sig.Network. “By bringing Ethereum, Solana, and Bitcoin into Polkadot’s composable environment, we’re enabling builders to think in flows, not bridges, to create applications that span chains without compromise.”

Sig.Network maps every Polkadot account or contract to a native account (EOA) on each supported external chain. When a Polkadot application sends an XCM v3 message, Sig.Network converts it into a native transaction on the destination blockchain, whether it’s a swap on Uniswap, a deposit on Aave, or a transfer on Solana, while maintaining the origin identity and ensuring verifiable message integrity. Conversely, contracts on external chains can hold Polkadot assets and call back into Polkadot dApps, enabling true two-way interoperability.

The integration begins with Hydration, where users will soon be able to deposit BTC, ETH, and SOL as easily as a centralized exchange deposit; trade, lend, and provide liquidity on Hydration without wrapped tokens; access external liquidity sources such as Raydium or Aave directly from Hydration; and allow external apps on Solana or Ethereum to use Hydration’s DeFi functions natively.

Initial supported chains include Ethereum, Solana, and Bitcoin, with Hyperliquid next on the roadmap. The system launches via an EVM contract on Hub, with progressive integration into Polkadot’s XCM v3 stack to make external calls network-wide.

Existing cross-chain systems focus on asset movement, wrapping, and limited contract compatibility. In contrast, Sig.Network offers native assets with no wrapping or reissuance, universal contract access allowing any external contract to be called directly, identity preservation so that transactions are executed by the original Polkadot account.

By turning message passing into full cross-chain execution, Sig.Network pushes Polkadot’s composability model beyond parachains, redefining what multi-chain means.

“Polkadot showed the world what interoperable blockchains can achieve,” shared Millar-Durrant. “At Sig.Network, we’re taking it a step further by connecting external chains so seamlessly that developers can build across ecosystems without even thinking about where one chain ends and another begins.”

About Sig.Network

Sig.Network makes applications deployed on any chain instantly native across all chains without rewrites, bridges, or regressions. Sig.Network eliminates fragmentation by defining consensus between ecosystems and enabling seamless value flow across crypto. Developers can deploy one on their home chain and access any asset, liquidity, and application.

About Hydration

Hydration is a next-gen Layer-1 blockchain built on Polkadot, designed to make DeFi efficient, simple, and unstoppable. At its core, it unites the three fundamental pillars of DeFi – trading, lending, and stablecoin – while offering powerful tools for DAOs, projects, and users of all types.

About Polkadot

Polkadot is the powerful, secure core of Web3, providing a shared foundation that unites some of the world’s most transformative apps and blockchains. Polkadot offers advanced modular architecture that allows devs to easily design and build their own specialized blockchain projects, pooled security that ensures the same high standard for secure block production across all connected chains and apps connected to it, and robust governance that ensures a transparent system where everyone has a say in shaping the ecosystem for growth and sustainability. With Polkadot, users are not just participants, they’re co-creators with the power to shape its future.
