Solera launches AI Engine across automotive value chain

April 20, 2026

Solera has launched the Solera AI Engine, a cloud-native intelligence layer embedded in its Cloud Platform to speed development of AI-driven applications across the automotive ecosystem. The company positioned it as shared infrastructure rather than AI added to legacy tools, targeting dealers, insurers, repair shops, fleets, and parts suppliers.

The AI Engine is built on three layers: a global cloud platform connecting vehicle lifecycle solutions; a proprietary data foundation covering diagnostics, claims, dealer activity, parts sourcing, and fleet operations; and an orchestration layer applying intelligence within existing workflows.

Alberto Cairo, Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director at Solera, said: “The automotive industry doesn’t need more AI features bolted onto disconnected tools. It needs intelligent infrastructure that makes the entire ecosystem work better together. It connects the data, automates the workflows, and gives us the speed to build what our customers need.”

Solera said the infrastructure has compressed enterprise application development cycles by “an order of magnitude or more”, allowing faster prototyping. Every capability must connect to an operational workflow, the company said.

The AI Engine is intended as a connective intelligence layer across automakers, dealers, insurers, repair shops, parts suppliers, fleets, and mobility providers, reducing tool overlap across the automotive value chain.
