Prime Videos’s Tomb Raider TV series is getting closer and closer. And while there aren’t many details about what this new version of Lara Croft—starring Sophie Turner—will cover, one thing is clear: the actress is more than determined to continue bringing this iconic video game character to life.

In a recent interview with The Telegraph, the actress best known for playing Sansa Stark in ‘Game of Thrones’ spoke about, among other topics, method acting and her experience transforming into Lara Croft in the series wtih Phoebe Waller-Bridge as as screenwriter and executive producer.

“Right now, my focus is Tomb Raider,” Turner said. “It has been for quite a while and will be for a while to come. I feel good doing it. I was birthed by Game of Thrones: TV is my bread and butter, and I love developing a character over years. If I hadn’t had Game of Thrones, this would be overwhelming, but it’s a joy.

As for the character, Turner also mentioned that Lara is very different from her, and that, as a result, there is something “fairly toxic” about the character. “[Lara Croft] is so different from me and my personality—without giving too much away, there is an element of her that can be fairly toxic, but there is also an element of her that is so focused and determined, whereas I have ADHD and can’t complete a task without forgetting about it and doing something else.”

When will the Tomb Raider series starring Sophie Turner be released?
