St. Cloud Planning Commission to talk housing, retail cannabis

ST. CLOUD — The St. Cloud Planning Commission has a busy meeting on Tuesday, May 13. There are five public hearings, which include:
- Amending a planned unit development to construct Elm Ridge Apartments, a 40-unit complex for individuals with extremely low income and a history of housing instability.
Center City Housing
is listed as the applicant. - Amending a planned unit development to allow for a cannabis retailer at 2102 Eighth St. N. Centennial Plaza LLC is listed as the applicant.
- Allowing a three-stall addition at the existing Legacy Auto Sales for minor motor vehicle repairs. Legacy Auto Sales is at 500 25th Ave. N.
- A request from Kyle Mangel to allow commercial and multi-family housing at 4509 and 4119 33rd St. S.
- Amending the city’s land development code to add a substitution clause for non-commercial messages.
The St. Cloud Planning Commission meets at 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 13, inside City Hall, 1201 Seventh Ave. S.
