Stacey Rusch Offers Wendy Osefo Receipts in Defense of Her Cannabis Line on the After Show
November 16, 2025
The Real Housewives of Potomac‘s Stacey Rusch doubled down on the timeline of her cannabis brand launch — and insisted that she has the receipts to support her version of events.
Since Stacey previously denied Gizelle Bryant‘s claim that she had a cannabis line in the works, her Season 10 announcement that she was, indeed, about to drop her own cannabis-infused fruit chews, sparked plenty of chatter within the cast. The women claimed that Wendy allegedly “lied” at the Season 9 reunion, and that she was directly competing with Wendy Osefo and husband Eddie Osefo‘s Happy Eddie brand.
After the topic arose again during Episode 7, Stacey further defended herself on The Real Housewives of Potomac After Show.
“Last year, when Gizelle shouted to the world that I was developing a ‘Happy Stacey’ line, that was not true,” she explained in the above clip. “And, quite frankly, it wasn’t Gizelle’s place to announce anything for me.”

According to Stacey, her cannabis line, which she named Shayo, “came to fruition … in a short amount of time,” after her divorce from Thiemo Rusch was finalized in December 2024.
“I wanted to think about how I could build a brand that was a representation of myself and take care of myself and my daughter,” Stacey added, referencing 9-year-old Arabella. “And it happened after Gizelle made that announcement.”
As she told Wendy directly on the RHOP After Show, “I stand by that. I have offered to show you text messages, emails. I’ve told the truth. I love you guys. Can’t we all win?”
In her reply, Wendy agreed that they “1,000 percent” could all win.
Where Stacey Rusch and Wendy Osefo stand now amid cannabis brand drama
When the subject first came up on the After Show, Wendy playfully instructed Stacey, “Don’t talk to me; talk to the camera.”
After Stacey responded, “I thought we were good,” Wendy clarified, “We are great!”
However, Wendy later admitted to taking issue with the brand’s Nigerian name, since Stacey had only just recently discovered her African roots (more on that below).

“And you did not let up,” Stacey joked, prompting Wendy to explain, “Because that’s what friends are for. I don’t ever want you to hear me talking about it. I want you to always say, ‘Yeah, she already told me.'”
As Stacey added, “That is one thing about you, Wendy: You will throw it right to my face.”
Inside Stacey Rusch and Wendy Osefo’s cannabis discussion on RHOP
Indeed, Stacey’s decision to name her cannabis brand Shayo caused some friction with Wendy during RHOP‘s Nov. 16 episode. (Stacey said that shayo is a Yoruba word that, “in simple terms,” means “to be happy.”) After all, as a producer pointed out, Wendy and Eddie “are also Nigerian” and their line similarly includes the word “happy.”
“The name of my brand is not ‘Happy Stacey,'” she reasoned in a confessional. “I’m not trying to infringe on his brand in any way. It has nothing to do with Wendy or Eddie.”
As Stacey further shared, she’d recently taken a DNA test that had revealed “a significant amount of heritage that comes from Nigeria.” When she sat down for lunch with Wendy, she explained that she wanted “to pay homage” to her “African heritage” by choosing her brand’s name.
“I have an affinity for Nigerians,” Stacey elaborated during their sitdown. “You know I’m your sister. You said I was your sister.”
After noting to Stacey that their conversation was “turning left real quick,” Wendy opened up more about her issues to a producer.
“It is giving Single Black Female,” Wendy remarked in a confessional. “You have stolen the cannabis idea, my aesthetic a little bit, and now you are naming your product ‘happy.’ … People are just copycats. If Stacey goes and gets a PhD or four degrees, I’m losing my s–t.”
Back at the restaurant, though, Stacey assured Wendy, “I never started my business to compete with Happy Eddie or, in any way, to compete with you.”
As the drama plays out on RHOP, find out what Stacey exclusively dished about her history-making cannabis brand.
