Following the closing of its $165 million fifth fund, StageOne Ventures has announced the promotion of Netanel Meir to General Partner and Avi Shulman to Partner.

Meir brings over a decade of experience in venture capital and investments. Prior to joining StageOne five years ago, he held key investment roles at prominent global and Israeli funds, including Bessemer Venture Partners and Vintage Investment Partners. Since joining StageOne, Meir has been instrumental in leading and supporting some of the firm’s most innovative companies. He represents StageOne on the boards of QuantumArt, BeamUp, Definity, Sedric, and vHive, among other companies, and played a significant role in the success of Qwak (acquired by JFrog).

“Netanel has proven to be an invaluable asset to both our firm and our founders,” said Yuval Cohen, Founder and Managing Partner at StageOne Ventures. “His unique combination of global perspective and deep-rooted local expertise has been central to our success. We are thrilled to have him join the general partnership as we launch Fund V.”

Shulman is a seasoned entrepreneur and cybersecurity expert with a deep technical foundation from his service in the IDF’s elite Unit 81. Before transitioning to venture capital, he co-founded PureSec, a pioneer in serverless security, which was acquired by Palo Alto Networks. At StageOne, Shulman focuses on breakthrough technologies in cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, enterprise software and vertical AI.

“Avi’s promotion is a testament to his exceptional work ethic and the real-world perspective he brings to our investment team,” said Tal Slobodkin, Managing Partner. “As a former founder who has successfully navigated an exit, he speaks the same language as the entrepreneurs we back. We look forward to his continued impact in this new role.”
