Earnings Season Begins

Investors are anticipating a week packed with high-impact financial results, as approximately one-third of companies in the S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 are scheduled to release reports. Within the Dow, 11 of its 30 components—representing 36.7% of the index—are reporting this week. Monday’s reports were limited: Verizon (ticker: VZ) delivered a mixed quarterly update as the only Dow stock reporting that morning, while Domino’s Pizza (ticker: DPZ) joined as an S&P 500 representative but fell short of Wall Street’s headline targets. No Nasdaq-100 companies issued reports on Monday morning.

Geopolitical Calm and Oil Markets

Beyond the light earnings load, the Iran conflict has not generated fresh headlines. Oil prices have shown little change since last Thursday, the Strait of Hormuz remains blocked, and serious peace talks have not progressed.

Upcoming Mega-Cap Reports

Five of the Magnificent 7 companies are scheduled to report on either Wednesday or Thursday. Their presentations are expected to move the market regardless of whether the news is positive or negative.
