Strong winds are in store for Toronto and surrounding regions with local power outages possible, Environment Canada says.
The blustery weather is expected to begin on Wednesday and last until Thursday night or Friday morning. Winds could gust to 70 to 80 km/h, the federal weather agency said in a special weather statement issued Tuesday night.
“High-sided vehicles will be pushed around by the wind,” the federal weather agency said. “Loose objects may be tossed by the wind.”
Environment Canada said the strong winds, coming from the southwest, will shift to the west on Wednesday night and then to the northwest Thursday afternoon or evening.
