Teen accounts on Instagram are still failing to keep young people safe online, according to new research from Meta whistleblower Arturo Bejar, academics from NYU/Northeastern University, and child safety groups in the UK and US. The report shows that Meta has not keep safety promises made about its Teen Accounts, with less than 1 in 5 teen safety features fully functional; and almost two thirds (64%) no longer existing or being substantially ineffective.
