‘Substantial’ cannabis factory discovered in raid
Leicestershire PoliceA raid on a cannabis factory in Leicestershire has been described as a “huge disruption to drugs being produced in our community” by police.
A warrant was executed at a property in Market Harborough in the early hours of Thursday.
Inside, officers found more than 500 cannabis plants being cultivated, as well as damage to the building’s interiors.
No arrests have been made in relation to the discovery.
A spokesperson for the Market Harborough and Lutterworth beat team said: “The site will be processed by our forensics team and the investigation continues into those linked to the grow.
“This has been a huge disruption to drugs being produced in our community.
“It is also a reminder that information from our community is vital in securing finds like these.”
