SWFL shoppers find Thanksgiving bargains at Amazon and Sam’s Club

November 23, 2025

As families across Southwest Florida gear up for Thanksgiving, major retailers are rolling out holiday meal deals designed to help you feed a crowd without draining your wallet—or spending all day in the kitchen. At Walmart, shoppers told WINK News what they’re bringing to the table this year as they hunted for the best bargains.

Scott Grimm is going big this Thanksgiving with a feast that includes turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and pies. For him, feeding a large family adds up quickly; he has nine kids.

“With that many kids, you know, they’re like vacuum cleaners. They’ll suck all the money right out of your pocket,” he said.

But this year, there’s some relief. According to the American Farm Bureau Federation, prices for Thanksgiving staples are down about 5% compared to last year.

Combined with new holiday bundles from national retailers, shoppers have several ways to save.

Here’s a look at what each store is offering:

Walmart

Walmart is offering a 10-person Thanksgiving meal for $40. The bundle includes 15 items—turkey, potatoes, gravy, cranberries, and a variety of classic sides. Online shoppers can also get free express delivery using the promo code THANKFUL.

Target

Target’s deal starts at $20, giving shoppers a turkey and dozens of side options they can mix and match to build their own meal.

Amazon

Amazon is selling a 5-person meal for $25 that includes turkey, stuffing, gravy, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, and cranberry-orange relish. Many areas qualify for same-day delivery.

Sam’s Club

Sam’s Club has a turkey dinner that feeds 10 for under $100. It comes with turkey, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, dinner rolls, pumpkin pie, and more.

Publix

Publix is offering its fully prepared turkey dinner for $70. The deli-made meal includes turkey, gravy, cornbread dressing, mashed potatoes, cranberry-orange relish, and a marshmallow dessert. Orders must be placed 48 hours in advance.

Thanksgiving may look different for every family, but we can all appreciate saving some money this time of year.

For those planning last-minute shopping, a few stores will remain open on Thanksgiving Day.

Dollar Tree will operate from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Walgreens will keep its 24-hour stores open, and most CVS locations will be open with varying hours. However, some major retailers, including Costco, Macy’s, Walmart, and Publix, will be closed on November 27.
