Tesla Conquers Top 5 spot in Consumer Reports Brand Perception Survey

LOS ANGELES (StockWatchIndex)– Tesla Motors Inc. now ranks in the top five brands in Consumer Reports annual ranking based on surveys of their viewers, pushing MercedesBenz of the #5 spot. Consumer Reports also says that the Tesla’s Model S electric vehicle among the best cars it has ever tested.

Tesla was up from 11th last year, behind Toyota Motor Corp., Ford Motor Co. and Honda Motor Co. as well as General Motors Co.’s Chevrolet. The results are based on surveys among vehicle owners ranking quality, safety, value, design and technology.
